About Dr. McManus

Dr. Xander McManus is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. With a background in athletics and a passion for rehabilitation, he brings both clinical expertise and personal experience to every treatment plan.

Education & Credentials: Dr. McManus completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Trine University. He holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification and is certified in Dry Needling.

Clinical Focus & Experience: Dr. McManus has extensive experience in outpatient physical therapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic and sports injuries, neurological disorders, physical deconditioning, and subacute rehabilitation care. His favorite conditions to treat include shoulder dysfunction, knee pain, neck pain, and overhead athlete injuries.

Personal Background: A former multi-sport athlete in baseball and football, Dr. McManus also spent 13 years as a classical musician playing violin and viola. He lived in Peru for 6 months and is fluent in Spanish, allowing him to serve Spanish-speaking patients comfortably. He speaks both English and Spanish.

Dr. McManus combines technical skill, compassionate care, and a deep understanding of athletic performance. His ability to connect with patients—both on a physical and personal level—makes him a trusted partner in recovery.
