Programs & Services

TCH's Day Programs combine social, recreational, and educational opportunities to help Arizona's kids and adults with developmental and physical disabilities broaden their social horizons and become more independent citizens. Day programs are designed to engage individuals in meaningful activities that build skills, foster friendships, and encourage personal growth.

TCH's Home and Community-Based Services provide highly specialized assistance for individuals with disabilities who live in their own homes, with loved ones, or in other settings. Support includes helping individuals set goals, develop budgets, prepare meals, and lead lives that reflect their evolving needs, personal preferences, and interests.

Flexible and individualized options may include:

• Direct support in all aspects of daily living and personal care
• Support to participate in community integrative opportunities
• Respite services
• Goal plan development and implementation
• Direct Support Provider training for family members and others
• Networking and support coordination with other disability providers

TCH provides Group Home Services in both Maricopa and Pima counties. Group homes offer a supportive residential environment where individuals with disabilities can live with the assistance they need while building independence and enjoying community life.

TCH offers a wide variety of job training and employment services for supported individuals. Programs are designed to provide opportunities both on TCH's Tempe campus and at various off-site employment enclaves.

Services include Disability Related Employment Services and Work Adjustment Training, Group Supported Employment (GSE), Individual Supported Employment (ISE), and the Pathways to Work program. Support covers job readiness, job development, job placement, job retention, resume building, interview strategies, career counseling, and customized employment support available up to a year after a member is hired.

Eligibility requires a desire to be employed, working towards independence, and the ability to be safe to self and others. Funding is available through DES/DDD (Division of Developmental Disabilities), Vocational Rehabilitation, Ticket to Work, or private pay. TCH owns and operates a large fleet of accessible vehicles. Annually, TCH logs over 75,000 trips on behalf of its supported individuals, ensuring reliable access to programs, jobs, and community activities.

Additional programs include the AbilityOne Program — the largest source of employment for people who have significant disabilities throughout the United States — as well as ASDD, an Arizona secure data destruction service that is a division of The Centers for Habilitation, and the Unique Boutique.
