About TCH

Empowering individuals with disabilities since our founding in Tempe, Arizona.

Our Mission

At TCH, our mission is to empower individuals with physical and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives by providing individualized programs and supports tailored to their unique needs. We strive to encourage health and wellness, promote inclusion in all aspects of community life, and increase self-esteem and confidence by ensuring each individual has the opportunity to make their own choices and direct their own paths.

TCH provides services that support and empower adults with developmental and physical disabilities. From day programs and home-based services to group homes and employment training, every program is designed to help the people we serve overcome obstacles and improve self-sufficiency.

Senior Management Team

Jeff Bernick, Chief Executive Officer — Jeff is responsible for providing long-term strategic planning and day-to-day leadership for the organization. From Our Families

"We are deeply grateful to the CEO and staff at The Center for Habilitation (TCH) for their ongoing support of our daughter. When she finished high school at 18, we were unsure of the next steps. After visiting several programs, we were introduced to TCH and immediately impressed by their professionalism, warmth, and genuine concern. They took time to understand our goals and made us feel confident in their approach. Thirteen years later, our daughter continues to thrive. She has grown socially and emotionally, and her recent move into a TCH-managed group home was a smooth and successful transition, thanks to the thoughtful planning and caring staff. We feel truly fortunate to be part of the TCH community." — Parents of TCH Client

"My daughter has been part of this program for 13 years, and it has truly been a life-changing experience for both of us. Despite facing significant challenges over the years, the consistent support from the staff—especially her room supervisor—has been an incredible blessing. This organization is a place filled with compassion and care, where individuals are supported in growing and thriving, regardless of the obstacles they face." — Parent of TCH Client
