Our School

Over 35 years of hands-on, nature-centered education in Kitsap County.

A School Among the Trees

Silverwood School sits on 17 wooded acres in Poulsbo, Washington, where learning extends well beyond four walls. For more than three decades, Silverwood has offered families a different kind of education—one rooted in curiosity, creativity, and a deep connection to the natural world.

Our campus is home to students from Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Classroom buildings occupy just a small part of the grounds. The rest is forest, outdoor shelters, and open space where children explore, create, and discover every single day, rain or shine.

At Silverwood, every student is known, challenged, and celebrated. Our close-knit community means teachers truly see each child and nurture their individual growth. Students build confidence, develop curiosity, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning.

Our Commitment

Silverwood admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation, in employment or in the administration of our educational program, admissions policies, financial aid program, or other school-administered programs.
