Memorial Scholarships

Easing the financial burden of education for fishing families.

Scholarship Programs

The Seattle Fishermen's Memorial has established two scholarship programs to support the commercial fishing community:

The Memorial Fund Scholarship provides scholarships to the surviving members of fishermen lost at sea, helping ease the financial burden of education for those who have lost a loved one.

The Gunnar Ildhuso Memorial Scholarship provides support to those in the fishing industry seeking to improve their maritime skills, qualifications, or safety credentials.

These scholarships are made possible through the generosity of donors who believe in supporting the fishing community and honoring the memory of those lost at sea.
