Our Mission & Community Commitment
Cleveland Clinic is a nonprofit multispecialty academic medical center that integrates clinical and hospital care with research and education. Founded in 1921 as a multi-specialty group practice, Cleveland Clinic has spent over 100 years introducing medical firsts and is consistently ranked among the top hospitals in the country.
The Lakewood Family Health Center carries forward that same founding mission: caring for life, researching for health, and educating those who serve. Under the leadership of medical director James Hekman, MD, FACP, our center is focused on world-class quality, outstanding service, and strong educational programs.
We are proud to serve the Lakewood community and surrounding areas. Our commitment goes beyond treating illness — we aim to be a valued and trusted community partner, helping our neighbors stay healthy and connected through comprehensive, accessible healthcare.
