A Year with The Actors Studio of New Jersey

The Actors Studio of New Jersey is proud to announce its residency at the historic Dunellen Theatre in Dunellen, NJ, bringing a vibrant season of live, professional theater to the heart of the community in 2026.

The Dunellen Theatre, opened in 1921, has long been a Middlesex County landmark—a classic venue originally designed as a 500-seat movie house and now beautifully reimagined for live entertainment. With an illustrious past that includes hosting vaudeville, movies, and musical acts across the decades, the venue is known for its charming period architecture and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for a night out in central New Jersey.

Through an exciting partnership, The Actors Studio of New Jersey joins forces with the Dunellen Theatre to present a dynamic slate of eight unique theatrical experiences in 2026. Audiences can look forward to fully staged musicals, dazzling musical tributes, and captivating productions for young audiences—all created and performed by top-tier local and regional talent.

This season promises to energize downtown Dunellen, celebrate the rich history of the theater, and offer memorable evenings for families, theater lovers, and the entire community.

The Actors Studio of New Jersey's 2026 season is supported in part through funding from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's A.R.T. Phase II Grant Program.
