Welcome to the Arkansas Craft Guild & Gallery

The Arkansas Craft Guild was incorporated as a cooperative in 1962 to promote and preserve the finest traditional and contemporary handmade arts and crafts of Arkansas. Today, some 110 fine artists and craft artisans make up the Guild's all-Arkansas membership, with each member's work juried on the basis of quality, design, and fine craftsmanship.

The Gallery is the retail showroom for the traditional and contemporary work of many Guild members. Located just a half block east of the Square in historic downtown Mountain View, our newly renovated stone building is spacious, light, and airy. You'll find heirloom-quality arts and crafts — pottery, wood carvings, turned wooden bowls, jewelry, paintings, photography, stained and fused glass, soaps, candles, quilts, and much more.

The Guild provides a collaborative environment where craftspeople explore and develop their art, while building a market for the highest quality products. New membership applications are juried three times per year.

What You'll Find

Every item in the Gallery is handmade by an Arkansas artisan. Our selection includes:

  • Pottery, turned wooden bowls, vases, and cutting boards
  • Jewelry — rings, bracelets, and necklaces featuring unique stones and materials
  • Paintings, prints, and photography
  • Stained and fused glass
  • Wood carvings, flutes, pens, and puzzles
  • Carved and painted gourd art
  • Soaps, lotions, candles, and honey products
  • Purses, felted wool wearables, toys, and quilts
  • Christmas and seasonal ornaments

Guild member artists volunteer at the sales register on weekends, sometimes bringing tools and samples of their work to demonstrate their craft. About a dozen artists volunteer once a month, giving visitors a chance to see the creative process firsthand.

What Visitors Are Saying

Amazing gallery! Everything is handmade by Arkansas craftsmen. Very big selection of jewelry, I bought a ring with a rare stone called Australian Variscite, and also an amazing bracelet "mermaid". The gallery has many paintings and works of art worth seeing. I am going to return to this gallery. I really liked it there.
