How 509 Philly Stop Came to Be
509 Philly Stop was born from a simple idea: bring the real taste of Philadelphia to a small town in Central Washington. Leo Perrone, a South Philly native, and his wife Maricar opened the doors in the summer of 2022 with a passion for authentic food and genuine hospitality.
The name says it all — the 509 area code is home, and Philly is where the flavor comes from. Leo and Maricar wanted to create a place where everyone feels like family the moment they walk in. The restaurant has a warm, memorabilia-filled atmosphere with photos, collectibles, and a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile.
The rolls are imported directly from Philadelphia, so every cheesesteak you bite into is the real deal. Leo is the master chef behind the grill, and Maricar greets every guest with a big smile at the counter. Together, they've built something special — a gathering spot where locals, travelers, and students come together over great food and good conversation.
Located right off I-90 in Kittitas, 509 Philly Stop has quickly become a beloved part of the community. Whether you're passing through on a road trip or you're a regular from down the street, there's always a seat and a hot cheesesteak waiting for you.
