About the Southern Arizona Arts Guild

SAAG is an organization created to provide a forum for artists to study, to share, and to show their artwork. We provide opportunities for the exchange of ideas through lectures and demonstrations, and we support the visual arts by encouraging, educating, and promoting our members' work through exhibitions while striving for high standards of quality.

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to community awareness of the visual arts. Whether through our gallery, our exhibitions, our workshops, or our community art fest days, we want to make art accessible and welcoming to everyone in Southern Arizona.

The Southern Arizona Arts Guild is entirely volunteer-run. It is led by an executive board nominated yearly by the membership, a board of directors, and a dedicated group of committee chairs and members. It is our volunteers who make the difference by giving the Guild their talent, time, and treasure.

Membership benefits include guest speakers and programs about the making and marketing of art, the opportunity to apply to SAAG's Gallery at Joesler Village, participation in community exhibitions and solo shows, critique sessions with fellow artists, a monthly newsletter, marketing opportunities including a personal portfolio page on the SAAG website, social events, networking, and the opportunity to teach art at SAAG.
