Park Features & Amenities
Everything you'll find at Seven Seas Park — from playgrounds to picnic areas.
Playgrounds for Every Age
Seven Seas Park has two distinct playground areas designed with different age groups in mind. The toddler area is fully gated, giving parents peace of mind while little ones explore swings, climbing structures, slides, musical toys, and a sand pit. The enclosed design means kids can wander and play without the worry of them heading off toward the parking area or street.
The big-kid playground is built around a pirate ship theme, featuring a large ship play structure with slides, bridges, rope climbing structures, and plenty of imaginative details. There are even scavenger hunts built into the structure, so kids can spend hours discovering new things each visit. Swings and a teeter totter round out the play options, and musical play pieces are scattered around the large central grass area.
Splash Pad
When the weather warms up, the splash pad at Seven Seas Park is a major draw. The water play area features spray features that kids love, making it a great way to cool off during Sunnyvale's sunny afternoons. The splash pad opens at 10 AM and is a favorite among families with young children.
With shaded seating nearby, parents and caregivers can watch comfortably while kids run through the water. It's a wonderful alternative to a pool day — no swimming skills required, and it's free to enjoy.
Sports Courts, Dog Park & Picnic Areas
Beyond the playgrounds and splash pad, Seven Seas Park offers a half basketball court and a tennis court for those looking to get active. The large central grass field is a popular spot for casual games of catch or frisbee, and in the late afternoon — especially around 4:30 to 5:30 PM — the field fills up with dogs and their owners enjoying off-leash play time.
For gatherings and relaxation, the park has BBQ grills, picnic tables, and plenty of benches throughout. Shaded areas cover much of the play zones, which is a real bonus on warm days. Restrooms are available on-site, and a small walking trail loops around the park for a pleasant stroll.
Street parking is available along Morse Ave, though it can fill up quickly during peak hours. The parking lot has a limited number of stalls, so arriving a bit early on busy days is a good idea.
