About Dictator Records

Hello, and welcome to Dictator Records Shop. We are an independent record shop and a crucial part of Atlanta hip-hop history, known for aiding the careers of artists like Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz, Pastor Troy, Khia, Lil Scrappy, and several others.

Today, our shop calls Greensboro, North Carolina home. Located at 1008 Westside Drive, we continue the tradition of championing music and the people who love it. Our shelves are stocked with vinyl records, CDs, turntables, vinyl accessories, books, audiobooks, and apparel — all curated with care.

We also host album listening parties that bring the community together. These events give fans a chance to hear new releases in a cozy, welcoming space surrounded by fellow music lovers. It's one of the things our customers love most about us.

Beyond the physical store, we offer digital downloads — albums, compilations, and singles — along with gift cards and a community message board where fans can connect. We also carry Record Store Day (RSD) titles and accept product request forms so you can track down exactly what you're looking for.

More Than a Record Store

Dictator Records isn't just a place to buy music — it's a gathering spot. Our listening parties have become a staple for music fans in Greensboro, drawing people who want to experience new albums together in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

We believe in supporting artists and connecting them with listeners. That's why we accept music submissions and maintain request forms for custom playlists and specific products. If you're looking for something, chances are we can help you find it.
