Our Story
Just Lookin' Gallery was conceived in 1990 with a clear mission: to specialize exclusively in original works by African American artists. From the very beginning, the gallery has been providing fine art for homes, offices, and private and public spaces.
In 1995, the gallery moved to its forever home at 40 Summit Avenue in Hagerstown, Maryland. The space offers over 2,500 square feet to display several thousand paintings, drawings, textiles, sculpture, and original prints by 20th and 21st century contemporary masters and legacy artists.
Work by our artists is included in private, corporate, and museum collections throughout the United States. Over three decades, we have educated and nurtured art lovers at every stage of their collecting journey — from beginners to connoisseurs.
Just Lookin' offers a range of quality works from hand-pulled prints to upper-end paintings. Our goal is to create an environment that allows lovers of fine art to become and grow as collectors. Any collector is certain to find many engaging pieces to start or add to a fine art collection.
