The Movement Disorders Foundation of Arizona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with movement disorders, with a particular focus on Parkinsonism and Parkinson's disease.
From providing free community services to sharing information about novel treatment procedures, the Foundation is dedicated to establishing proper care and support for people afflicted with movement disorders and their families.
We believe that by providing programs and opportunities focused on managing disability, we can enrich the lives of people living with movement disorders here in our community. With over 80 educational events and seminars held and more than 3,000 participants served, our reach continues to grow across Arizona and beyond.
What We Offer
MDFA provides patients and their caregivers free educational programs to stay informed and up to date on the latest therapy and management options, including novel pharmacotherapy, botulinum toxin injections, and deep brain stimulation.
Our programs include in-person seminars, online webinars, weekly boxing classes for Parkinson's, and pickleball drills — all designed to help people pursue wellness while living with movement disorders such as Parkinson's Disease, Dystonia, Huntington's Disease, essential tremor, and spasticity.
Our education programs help us reach over 1,000 people on our distribution list who are touched by movement disorders. Events are offered both in-person across the greater Phoenix area and online via Zoom, making participation accessible to a wide audience.
