Remembering Joshua
Joshua passed away on March 4th, 2025, from fentanyl poisoning. While in recovery, he began chronicling his journey on TikTok under the name Blugrudge, sharing his story openly and honestly in hopes of reaching others who were struggling.
Joshua was on a mission to help save one soul at a time from the fentanyl epidemic. He believed that by sharing his own experience — the hard parts, the small victories, the daily fight — he could make a difference for someone else. His family continues that mission today.
As a family, we learned so much during Joshua's recovery about the realities of fentanyl addiction and the challenges of finding the right resources and support. Those lessons now fuel everything we do through Blugrudge.
Since Josh's passing, we have been relearning how to live our lives while grieving and mourning. In many ways, it feels like our own kind of recovery. We carry Joshua's vision forward — to educate, to support, and to help bring families back together.
